Privacy policy
What we do with personal information, in plain terms.
Effective 30 July 2026
Remote Pro Commercial Solutions, ABN 47 166 461 025, designs, builds, installs and supports connected systems for Australian operators. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Two things are covered separately. This policy covers this website and any enquiry you send us. Information held inside a system we have built for a customer is governed by our agreement with that customer: they decide what is collected, and we act on their instruction.
What this website collects
This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising tags, no tracking pixels and no third-party embeds, and it stores nothing in your browser. There is no form to fill in.
The site is served through Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare records technical request information such as your IP address, your browser user agent, the page requested and the time of the request. It is used to serve the site and to protect it from attack. Because Cloudflare runs a global network, that request information may be processed on servers outside Australia.
What we collect when you contact us
The contact link opens your own email program, so what reaches us is what you choose to send. That is usually your name, your email address, sometimes a phone number, and what you tell us about your operation and what you need.
We use it to answer you, to scope and quote the work, and to keep a record of what was discussed. We keep enquiries while there is a reasonable prospect of working together, and for as long afterwards as our records and legal obligations require.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not add people to a marketing list because they made an enquiry.
Systems we build and operate
Where we host a platform for a customer, that data is stored and processed in Australian regions. Access is limited to the people who need it to deliver or support the work, it is encrypted in transit and at rest, and each customer environment is kept separate. Devices we build carry credentials for their own identity, not for the people using them.
If we hold personal information on a customer's behalf, we hold it on their instruction. A request about that information should go to the organisation that operates the system, and we will help them answer it.
Who else sees it
Only where necessary: the hosting and infrastructure providers we use to run the service, professional advisers where we are obliged to consult them, and anyone we are required to disclose to by law. We ask our providers to hold information to the standard we hold it to.
Keeping it secure
Multi-factor authentication on our own accounts, least-privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, and separation between customer environments. No system is beyond risk and we will not claim otherwise. If a data breach happens that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
Seeing what we hold, or correcting it
Ask us and we will tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy, or correct it. We may need to confirm who you are first. If we cannot do what you have asked, we will tell you why in writing.
Complaints
Raise it with us first and we will look into it and come back to you. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and the effective date above will change with it.
